What is Grace?

The Anointing

There was an a great revelation that was brought to my attention the other day. It comes from the story of Samson. Samson was anointed by God as a judge over Israel and one who was to deliver them from the bondage of the Philistines including killing thousands with a jaw bone of a donkey. He did mighty exploits for God in hopes that Israel would find their dependence in God.
God did set a few boundaries for Samson not to cross. One was that he was never to drink wine and the other was not to cut his hair.
One day Samson met a woman named Delilah. She was paid by the Philistines to find his weakness so they might over take him. In a moment of weakness he revealed the source of his strength. Just so you know it had less to do with wine and hair and more to do with obedience. Delilah then cut his hair while he slept and he lost the anointing for his supernatural strength and the enemy overtook him and cut out his eyes.
Later as he was being held prisoner by the enemy they asked if Samson could be brought out for a celebration that they were having so that he might perform for them while they mocked. So he entertained them in his shame. Later unknowing to the enemy his hair began to grow back and his anointing came with his cries of repentance and he pushed the pillars that supported the building the celebration took place in causing it to collapse on himself and the enemy killing them all.
There are a couple of things I want to mention about this story.
1. The gift and callings are without repentance but the anointing is optional. What I mean is when we live in the boundaries of humility and worship unto God our gifts and calling find power through the anointing.
2. The anointing always has boundaries. Operating outside of the anointing is costly and often leads to death. Read the story of Saul. God places boundaries for us and to maintain the integrity of his gospel. Repentance will always return his anointing but not all the time with the same measure.
3. Disobedience will blind you. After Samson lost the anointing he still tried to perform under it. I see many men who do the same. They try to operate in the gifting apart from the anointing not knowing that their disobedience has blinded them to the fact that they have walk from Gods covering leaving them to only perform not for Gods people but for his enemies. The anointing is here to perform Gods exploits for the deliverance of His people. Performing apart from Gods anointing only entertains those who choose to be Gods enemy.
This story is so important to the body of Christ today. We need the anointing, his supernatural power. It’s what brings the gospels to life and empowers the believer to live as Christ did on this earth. But disobedience carries consequences. It does not remove his love but it does remove his power until we walk back into humility.

“So it happened, when their hearts were merry, that they said, “Call for Samson, that he may perform for us.” So they called for Samson from the prison, and he performed for them. And they stationed him between the pillars.”

Judges 16:25 NKJV

Secret Garden

He doesn’t have to scale the walls. When Jesus turns the key to your heart it’s like entering a Secret Garden. Going back to Eden with a world of beauties unimagined at your fingertips. He becomes the vine dresser, turning the winter into Spring, pruning away the dead, unlovely and poisonous and saturates the roots of the fruit trees with his ravishing love. He begins to teach you what to plant and how to grow and you are so excited to learn and happy just to be in His presence.
But sometimes, you start watering what’s meant to die and things that you once thought were lovely have lost their luster. Sometimes, bitter things start outgrowing the sweet things and you wonder where He’s gone. If you feel barren or that your garden is going through a winter season, You need to know, He never left. “I will never leave you or forsake you.” Says the Lord. There is no time or space or grave sin between you. He’s only ever a gaze away. You have simply taken your eyes off of the Master gardener, abandoned what he’s taught you, and unknowingly set yourself above, taking his rightful position. But he is so kind and delights in showing grace and mercy. He won’t take his place by force. No. There has always been a garden. Love has always been a choice. You must give it, freely and wholeheartedly. Only in Him is life.
And when you do…oh when you do…His soft melodies in the wind rush over you and his rain saturates and nourishes the depths of your soul. Life bubbles up and pours out from your spirit into your day and everything you take hold of.
Complacency, pride, depression, bitterness, fear, insecurities, feeling unworthy whatever it is…anything that is not of Him are thieves of life. Don’t hold onto scraps. Hand them over and watch God breath fresh life into you. Don’t settle until you see Eden. Jesus is eternal Spring.

The Two Trees

The truth about Love

Broken_heart_love_9.jpg

Many times those who we allow in our heart are the ones the enemy uses to press your buttons. They are not the steward of your heart, you are! It’s time to give Jesus your buttons. When I get to this place in my heart I realize that I am trying to find fulfillment through people “creation” and not the Father “creator”!

Apostle Paul told us that we are to own no man anything but love. So why does our love so often demand a response? Because we are often looking for a reward for our labor of love.

Love is a choice.

Love that requires or demands a response is not love at all but is a means of manipulation used to try to fulfil the lust of the flesh. In a perverted world sex even in marriage outside of the desire for intimacy is the lust of the flesh.

I see so many hurting and if you have not heard it yet, hurt people… hurt people! They throw their web of victimization, demanding justice all while their heart aches for intimacy.

Solomon the wisest man said in Proverbs 4 to seek wisdom and understanding. See people will lay their heads down to sleep tonight, believers and unbelievers, with a sense of rejection and abandonment burning in their heart. People will perish from a lack of knowledge today. Their heart will grow a little harder then the day before. See when we try like Adam to pursue knowledge outside of the Father we eat of a tree that brings death.

For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, (2 Cor 10:5-6)

See the weapons of our warfare is not the rebuking of the devil but the removing of strongholds! See it is the arguments and opinions of yourself and others that ascend above the knowledge of GOD. In these places we have chosen to eat from a tree that perceives what is good and evil or that which brings life.

A wholesome tongue is a TREE of LIFE, But the perverseness in it breaks the spirit. (Proverbs 15:4)

Where does a tongue find its words?

“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he”. (Proverbs 23:7)

When we live from a place of the way that seems right to us h, we ignore the wisdom of God and the tree of Life in Christ for a tree that leads to death.

The truth will set you FREE!

May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. (Eph 3:19)

Jesus my friends is the answer. God so loved you that He sent Jesus to die as you so that you could live as him on this earth. Jesus said once that a man was willing once he saw the kingdom of God to sell all he had to purchase it. He likend it as to a pearl of great value. I want to tell you that you are the Fathers pearl of great value.

Stop selling your birthright for a moment of self gratification that only mask the pain that you live in daily. Stop having to bite your tongue every time someone mentions someone who hurt you. Remember they only truly love you as they love themselves. Offenses are the building blocks that block your view of Kingdom built upon Righteousness, Peace, And Joy in the Holy Ghost. I see a Jesus stripped, beaten, and rejected crying out “Father forgive them!”

This is your value, Holy, Righteous, above Reproach! You’re the temple of the Holy Spirit, a house fit for a King, the very dwelling place of the Father spirit. You are perfect in Him if you BELIEVE! Stop living through others disfunction and become the a tree of life for all!

The knowledge of good and evil

The tree of the knowledge of good and evil is just that; a worldly knowledge of good and evil. You will find yourself picking apart you and everyone else through this knowledge of good and evil. You will judge others based upon what you think is good and evil about them. It’s a bad way to go through life. Every time you eat this tree you kill the truth that sets you free.
Jesus said that we must become perfect like our Father in heaven is perfect in order to see the Kingdom of Heaven. This is truth. You must look like Jesus before you can set one foot in heaven. But here’s a secret, you are made perfect the moment you believe and receive Jesus. You become a new creation in Him. You’re created into the image of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
You probably are thinking what cool aid is Brent drinking? Well I am drinking straight from Jesus. See the moment you believed you became one in Jesus. Paul says you are even seated in him in heaven as we speak. The biggest error that many reading this have is they still are eating of that blasted tree. You know the one that reminds you how good and evil you are.
Today make a decision to eat of the tree of Life. It’s time you begin to abide in Jesus! You will like it here. It’s a battle though. The battle or as Paul says laboring is keeping your mind renewed I’m the reality that you are righteous, holy, and above reproach. When you live in this place and abide in Him you will not sin. Ya you heard me. And if you can’t believe it then read it yourself in 1 John 3. It’s time to believe Saints.
